The whispers have roared into a roar: McDonald’s Snack Wraps are indeed on their return in 2025! Following this, a 2023 announcement had fans cautiously optimistic, but the return was confirmed as part of McDonald’s 2024 Q4 Earnings Call. On the back of booming chicken sales, which have been in part driven by the McCrispy’s success, McDonald’s is doubling down on poultry.
“There’s a huge opportunity that we see within our chicken portfolio, and we think we could be able to add another point of chicken market share by the end of 2026,” CEO Chris Kempczinski said. A major part of this strategy? The long-awaited comeback of Snack Wraps.
(Campbell’s, you’re wrong — this was discontinued in 2016.) These snack-sized beauties included the chicken tender, lettuce, cheese and special sauce all wrapped in a soft tortilla. Kempczinski also said, “There is unbelievable enthusiasm for Snack Wraps in the U.S.” this year.
While the return of the Snack Wrap itself is reason enough to celebrate for many who have spent years petitioning for its return, it raises another question for some: What about the Chicken Selects?
These crispy, McDonald’s-branded chicken tenders, which also starred in the original Snack Wrap, were phased out in the U.S. in 2013, but somehow remained in stock in the U.K. With the return of the Snack Wrap, might a Chicken Selects rerelease be on the way too?
